Responsibilities:

The Coordinator, Certified Ophthalmic Assistant coordinates department activities within the department. The position reports directly to the Nursing Supervisor. The Coordinator is the primary management and communication link to the staff and is responsible for assuring the delivery of high quality care to Kelsey-Seybold patients. This scope includes both clinical and administrative aspects of the patient care that occurs within their department of responsibility. They are also responsible for implementing standards, policies and procedures formulated and recommended by the Nursing Practice Council.

Salary Range: $45,679 – $56,410 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Required: 2 years recent clinical experience

Required: BCLS; Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)

Required: Demonstrated leadership capabilities and communication skills, basic computer skills.

Other 

Required: Able to use equipment: NCT, Auto-refractor and Computer related equipment, A-Scan and perform K-Readings, Radiscope to check in GP lens, and Lensometer.
