Responsibilities
UM Representative Supervisor reports to the UM Manager. The UM Representative Supervisor oversees the day-to–day planning of department operations including reviewing and updating phone line queues, employee skillsets and employee schedules to ensure the department consistently meets production standards and quality customer service is delivered. This position continually examines team performance, provides feedback, makes recommendations for training, and implements action plans to sustain and improve team performance. The UM Representative Supervisor disseminates information to the department in a timely, organized manner and is also responsible for communicating fundamental goals, assignments, and expectations to the team. The UM Representative Supervisor will also oversee time & attendance and any necessary disciplinary actions.

Salary Range: $57,948.80 – $71,593.60 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: High school diploma
Preferred: Associates or Bachelor’s degree
Experience
Required: 3-5 years of healthcare experience either in a physician office or hospital setting health plan, ACO or other managed care setting OR 3-5 years of experience as a UM Representative.
1-3 years of experience in a call center environment.
Preferred: 3-5 years Team Lead or Supervisory experience.
Previous Experience using a call documentation system and phone auditing systems.
Demonstrated ability in handling a high case load of complex issues.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology including CPT and ICD9 coding.
License(s)
Required: Valid Texas driver’s license
Preferred: N/A
Special Skills
Required: Experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and a variety of software applications.
Knowledge of HMO, PPO and referral processes.
Excellent communication skills
Alpha/numeric data entry and basic PC Literacy.
Experience using Epic System
Preferred: EPIC” Tapestry Experience
Other
Required: Excellent interpersonal, written, oral and presentation skills.
Strong ability to coach, counsel and motivate performance to achieve winning results.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively listen and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred: Fluent in Spanish
