Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the PAA Supervisor, the Senior Patient Account Analyst (Sr. PAA) will provide support to the Patient Account Analyst (PAA) teams by acting as a trainer and auditor, while also managing escalated treatment authorization and billing issues. The Sr. PAA is responsible for receiving, tracking, and ensuring the timely and accurate resolution of all work submitted by the PAA teams, while also handling open accounts receivable (AR) and account follow-up. This role is critical in managing the authorization process, ensuring that patients are promptly processed and ready for the commencement of their treatment.

Salary Range: $50,724 – $62,659 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program.
Preferred: Expert knowledge of insurance, billing and collection concepts and theory.
Experience
Required: Minimum 5 years experience in similar field involving insurance verification, 3rd party payors,
patient accounts and business office functions.
Preferred: Insurance verification and business office functions preferred to be in the physician practice setting.
License(s)
Required: N/A
Preferred: CPC Preferred Not Required.
Special Skills
Required: Computer skills.
Must have ICD 10 and CPT minimum one-year coding experience in global billing.
Fast and accurate data entry skills.
Good knowledge of managed care contracts
Preferred: EPIC Experience preferred
Other
Required: Previous customer service experience.
Extensive knowledge of health insurance.
Effective communication skills.
Must be able to speak, hear, write, and read clearly.
Preferred: Infusion and radiation oncology authorization and benefit experience.
