Responsibilities
The Specialty Pharmacy Administrator is responsible for assisting the Specialty Pharmacy in its overall success, expansion, and compliance this includes achievement of customer service and financial objectives; adherence to professional practices and Kelsey-Seybold policies and procedures; and management of all assigned personal including students. Monitors pharmacy personnel, provision of services, inventory, and overall profitability of the service line. This position is the back up to the Pharmacy Director during his/her absence. Upon need or request, this position may perform staff duties, which are not limited to but include the accurate dispensing and counseling of specialty prescriptions to customers This position is also responsible for the development and adherence to accreditation standards as it relates to Specialty Pharmacy.

Salary Range: $142,695 – $169,556 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: BS in Pharmacy
Preferred: MS in Pharmacy or PharmD
Experience
Required: 3-5 years of progressive management in retail and/or specialty pharmacy setting, including strategic planning, development and monitoring of budgets, and personnel management. Strong knowledge of current trends in the pharmacy area with ability to assess and identify opportunity to leverage pharmacy expertise to improve quality, safety, patient experience, and financial performance.
Preferred: Initial accreditation project management experience
Pro forma development
ACO integrated pharmacy experience
EPIC experience
EnterpriseRx experience
License(s)
Required: Active Pharmacist license in the state of Texas or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Valid driver’s license

Special Skills
Required: Advanced knowledge and understanding of Texas State Board of Pharmacy and DEA regulatory standards and participation in AAAHC or TDH surveys. Knowledgeable of the principles of quality management and experienced in leading Performance Improvement teams
Preferred: C-suite level presentation development and delivery skill
Robust analytics skills
