Responsibilities
Prepares patients (infants to geriatrics) for surgical procedures by conducting physical assessments, starting IV’s when applicable, completing Pre-operative labs/consents and ensures H&P’s are current according to organizational policies/procedures. Responsible for conducting business and patient care activities consistent with the Center’s policy for Patients Rights and Responsibilities without discriminating against the individual because of sex, age, race, or religion, or any other potentially discriminating factor. Also, for the discrete and confidential handling of all patient information, whether written or spoken, and to be ever vigilant and sensitive to where and how any patient information is shared.

Salary Range: $78,458 – $96,928 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: RN required education
Preferred: BSN preferred
Experience
Required: 2years’RN experience in a Pre-op or Pre Admission Testing department, or RN with 1 year PAT or Pre-Op experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an ER, or Infusion Therapy department. Must have strong IV skills
Preferred: 2-3 years RN experience in Pre-Op in an Ambulatory Surgery Center setting.
Must have strong IV skills
License(s)
Required: RN license.
BLS/ALS issued by the American Heart Association. Or ACLS or PALS issued by the American Heart Association
Preferred: Specialty certified: , CAPA
