Responsibilities
The Infusion Registered Nurse is responsible for applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills to promote the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards. This position will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to infusion patients through education, nursing assessment, and administration of medications such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other IV therapies. The Infusion Registered Nurse assesses for physiological and psychosocial needs, implements nursing interventions, and communicates patient concerns to the healthcare team.

Salary Range: $80,027- $98,867 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: Graduate of an approved RN program
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Experience
Required: 1+ year RN experience
1+ year Oncology, Infusion, IV Therapy, and/or related experience.
Preferred: Chemotherapy administration experience
License(s)
Required: Valid and current Texas RN license
Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
Completion of ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Course within 3 months of employment
ACLS within 3 months of employment
Completion annually of 10 CEU’s related to Oncology
OCN or CRNI certification within 36 months of employment
Preferred: OCN or CRNI certification
Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association, or ACLS or PALS issued by the American Heart Association.
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
Special Skills
Required: Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, oxygen administration and intravenous therapy
Basic computer skills
Experience with EMRs
Preferred: EPIC experience
Experience with port-a-caths and other CVADs
Other
Required: Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred: N/A
