Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills, and for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards.
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) II – Radiation Oncology
Clinic Location: Main Campus
Department: Radiation Oncology
Job Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $85,550 – $105,685 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: Graduate from an approved RN program
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Experience
Required:
- 2+ years RN experience
Preferred:
- Ambulatory care experience
- 1+ year of Radiation Oncology experience
License(s)
Required:
- Valid and current Texas RN license
- BLS
- ACLS within 6 months of employment
Preferred:
- OCN Certification
- ACLS
- ONS/ONCC Radiation Therapy Certificate
Special Skills
Required:
- Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, oxygen administration and intravenous therapy
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with EMRs
Preferred: EPIC experience. ARIA experience
Other
Required: Clear communication skills both verbal and written. Flexible work hours
