The Quality Improvement Advisor will play a critical role ensuring practice and PGT success in Medicare Advantage and commercial contracts with a focus on HEDIS quality measures. The Quality Improvement Advisor must be service-oriented, well-versed in HEDIS quality measures, and familiar with approaches for reviewing ambulatory care charts both electronic (EHRs) and paper to identify and submit documentation to address quality measure gap closure. This role requires strong attention to detail, great communication skills (both oral and written), and a passion for quality measure performance. The Quality Improvement Advisor is a remote position with up to 15% travel required. All candidates must be licensed in the state of Texas.

Job Type:  Full Time

Salary Range:  $68,640.00 to $84,635.20 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

 

Qualifications

 

Education

 

Required: Associates Degree or equivalent experience

 

Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Social Work, Behavioral Health, Public Health or related field. Certified Professional Coder (CPC). Clinical degree (RN, LVN, or other).

 

Experience

 

Required: Two years’ experience as a quality improvement advisor or like position working with Medicare Advantage STARS program and HEDIS measures. Minimum 1 year of direct experience in an ACO, CIN, IPA, or health plan on a team that included clinical QM/QI activities, disease management, and/or population health.

 

Preferred: 1+ years in a primary care practice setting. Experience with EHR systems.

Required: Strong communication skills. Able to work independently and prioritize deadlines.
