Responsibilities
The Ophthalmic Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients seen in the Optometry or Ophthalmology departments. He or she will ensure the safety and comfort of patient and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards.

Salary Range: $37,669 – $46,530 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
Preferred: N/A
Experience
At least 1-year previous Medical Assistant or Ophthalmic Assistant experience if not a graduate of an approved Medical/ Ophthalmic Assistant program.
Or
6 months experience if a graduate of an accredited Medical/Ophthalmic Assistant program.
Preferred: 1 year in ophthalmic setting

Required: Must be self-directed, flexible, detail oriented and able to absorb information quickly. Works well under pressure in a fast pace environment. Demonstrated ability to motivate employees in a claims production environment
