Responsibilities
The Nurse Navigator serves as a single point of contact for Hematology/Oncology/Radiation patients, their caregivers, and referring physicians to assist in accessing clinical and supportive services across the care continuum. This position will facilitate patient appointments, including diagnostics, specialty services, and consults, as well as offer educational and emotional support.

Salary Range: $85,550 – $105,685 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing with 2 years of equivalent work experience.
Preferred: N/A
Experience
Required: 2+ years clinical RN experience. 1+ years Hematology / Oncology / Radiation experience and/or related
Preferred: Ambulatory care experience. Navigation experience
License(s)
Required: Valid and current Texas RN license. Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association. Completion of ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Fundamentals of Administration or ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Course within 6-12 months of employment. Completion of ONS/ONCC Radiation Therapy Certificate course within 6-12 months of employment. Completion annually of 10 CEU’s related to Oncology. OCN certification within 36 months of employment or 3 attempts (whichever comes first)
Preferred: OCN Certification. ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate. ONS/ONCC Radiation Therapy Certificate
Special Skills
Required: Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy. Basic computer skills. Experience with EMRs
Preferred: EPIC experience. Experience with Microsoft Office

Required: Clear communication skills. Flexible work hours
