Responsibilities
Upon the order of a qualified physician, the MRI Technologist will utilize equipment, which utilizes high field magnetic energy for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Imaging services vary by location, therefore, performance of certain MR and MRA exams may be required depending on assigned site. The MRI Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS). . May be assigned to other duties, technical or non technical if training, experience and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties.

Salary Range: $70,267 – $86,816 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program.
Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
OR
Education sufficient to meet the ACR accreditation guidelines for an MRI Technologist.
Experience
Required: Minimum 1 year MRI experience.
Preferred: 2 years of MRI and previous CT experience
License(s)
Required: ARRT (R)
MRT registry w/in one year of hire.
OR
MRT- General Certificate or ARMRIT (American Registry Of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist) BCLS certification
Preferred: RT(R)(MR)
Special Skills
Required: Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition venipuncture
Preferred: PACS and RIS experience
Other
Required: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Working Environment: Clinic/Office
