Responsibilities
The Mohs Surgery Technician is secondary support, at minimum 50% in the Mohs Lab- preparing patient tissue samples to provide high-quality tissue slides to the Mohs Surgeon for microscopic examination, enabling accurate and timely diagnosis. In addition, Mohs Surgery Assistant/CMA may also administer injectables, set-up/assist with procedures, sterile field, and/or cosmetic procedures, removal of sutures, sterilize instruments, and manage pathology log to make sure all results received and given to patients/treatments done.

Salary Range: $59,108 – $73,025 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program and Gradate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school
Preferred: N/A
Experience
Required: 1- 2 years of related experience as a Medical Assistant, including experience embedding, cutting, staining, mounting and freezing tissue
OR
1-2 years of related surgical assistant experience
Preferred: Mohs lab experience
License(s)
Required: Certified or Registered as a Medical Assistant, or Surgical Technician
Preferred: N/A
Special Skills
Required: Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population. Windows-based computer skills.
Preferred: EPIC experience
Other
Required: BLS Certification
Complete the department specific program modules for medical assistants.
Preferred: N/A
