Responsibilities

Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Lead MRI Technologist will utilize equipment, which produces high field magnetic energy to obtain magnetic resonance (MR) images for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.  The Lead MR Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS) as well as contrast injectors May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties. Functions as a team leader, with appropriate attention to team development and success of department.

Department: Radio – MRI

Job Type: Full Time 

Salary Range: $86,604 – $106,971 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

 

Qualifications

Education

Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.

OR

Education sufficient to meet the ACR accreditation guidelines for an MRI Technologist

Preferred: N/A

Experience

Required: Minimum 3 years MR experience or 1 year KSC MR experience

Preferred: Experience performing MR Angiography 

PACS and RIS experience

Experience on a high field magnet

License(s)

Required: ARRT (R) (MR)

OR

CMRT

Preferred: RT(R)(MR)(CT)

Special Skills

Required: Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp advanced elements of magnetic resonance imaging

Venipuncture

Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and/or Excel

Other 

Required: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Documented evidence of leadership abilities

Preferred: N/A
