Responsibilities:
Kelsey-Seybold Managed Care Analytics exists to monitor and improve the financial performance of Kelsey-Seybold (KS) by providing actionable, data-driven insights to the organization. Within Managed Care Analytics, the Financial Operations team’s primary focus is to apply implement custom financial systems and processes related to value based care agreements, including capitation payment and incentive fund reconciliations.
The Financial Operations Director will oversee processes supporting both Kelsey-Seybold’s health plans and provider group contracting. The Director will be a “hands-on” leader who will build out expertise on the team, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create sound financial processes and controls, and assess the impact of regulatory and contracting changes.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
Provides long-range planning and oversight of managed care financial operations to ensure activities are appropriately aligned with the strategic direction, mission and values of the company.
Leads cross-functional projects, including stakeholders throughout IT, Accounting, and Internal Controls teams, to analyze and evaluate current state systems and define future state processes based on business needs and system functionality to ensure compliance with accounting and internal control requirements.
Accountable for the development, implementation, and analysis of systems, processes, reports and data required to understand the key drivers of the relevant business unit or value-based contract component including:
Incoming and outgoing capitation payment reconciliations
Capitation leakage adjudication processes
Incentive fund reconciliations
Recruiting and developing a team of analysts

Salary Range: $148,179.20 – $183,040 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited school
Preferred: N/A
Experience
Required: 10 years of experience in in Accounting, Finance, Systems/IT, Business Administration, data analytics, or related field inclusive of:
8+ years of experience supervising or managing teams and/or projects
3 years programming experience in SQL, SAS, Python or similar programming language
Demonstrated understanding of value-based healthcare finance
Preferred: Prior systems experience (i.e. enrollment/eligibility, capitation, claims payment, etc.) with a MCO. Demonstrated knowledge of CMS HCC model and Risk Adjustment calculations.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Word
Experience writing, debugging and documenting complex queries against relational databases
Preferred: Experience with reporting tools (including Crystal Reports and Microsoft Access). Familiarity with EPIC and Clarity reporting data warehouse.
