The data engineer will work closely with the data architect to visualize and develop PGT’s data management framework and build systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for analysts to interpret. The data engineer will also be responsible for the day-to-day data operations and developing file/data automation and error detection systems. They will be responsible for maintaining a code base in a version control system (git) and devops build-test-release pipelines for their code.
The Data Engineer is a remote position with up to 15% travel required

Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in a technical area or equivalent experience
Preferred: Advanced degree preferred.
Experience
Required: Minimum of two years’ experience in data warehouse/business intelligence development. Experience as BI/DW developer on BI/DW initiatives and projects.
Preferred: Previous experience in a healthcare industry, large-scale data warehousing, and/or exposure to Epic Systems Clarity. Experience with medical or pharmacy claims data Experience in agile teams and with agile principles.
License(s)
Preferred: MS SQL-related Certifications.
Special Skills
Required: Experience in a scripting language (Python, Powershell, etc), Significant experience and expert-level technical knowledge in several of the following tools: MS SQL Database Services / Transact-SQL (T-SQL), MS SQL Analysis Services (SSAS), MS SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Demonstration of expert-level understanding and knowledge of the following topics: Datawarehouse design, Reporting, OLAP / Cubes, KPIs, Scorecards, Dashboards, Ad-Hoc, Analytics, Data Mining, Metadata Management, Data Quality, Master Data Management.
