Responsibilities
The Administrator Infusion Pharmacy will coordinate activities of the pharmacy with nursing, physicians and business office for all patients receiving infusion services for all infusion pharmacy locations. This includes but it not limited to all of the infusion activities, including performing chemotherapy and antibiotic admixture for the clinic departments, service coordination, charge capture, and patient services. Manages pharmacy prepared infusion medications administered at all infusion pharmacy locations including accurate and complete charge capture. The Infusion pharmacy administrator is responsible for all USP 797 regulations and compliance of the clean rooms. Also responsible to plan, direct, develop, and coordinate activities of the Infusion pharmacy to attain goals and objectives. Coordinates activities and education with the pharmacist, pharmacy technicians as well as the nursing staff. Responsible for: achievement of customer service and financial objectives; adherence to professional practices and Kelsey-Seybold policies and procedures; and management of all assigned personal including students. Manages inventory, and overall cost of service provision. Maintains current oncology protocols and monitors dispensing per formulary. Upon need or request, performs staff duties, which are not limited to but include accurate dispensing and counseling of prescriptions to customers and distribution of clinic use pharmaceuticals. This role involves developing and implementing clinical programs, formulary review processes, evaluating medication utilization and collaborating with healthcare providers.

Salary Range: $154,170 – $190,445 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: Graduate from School of Pharmacy
Preferred: N/A
Experience
Required: 2-3 years hospital and retail pharmacy experience.
2 years in an oncology / specialty setting. Must by IV Certified and knowledgeable of USP 797 regulations.
2 years in a manager role such as PIC or charge pharmacist
Preferred:Completion of PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residency
License(s)
Required: Texas license Registered Pharmacist
Preferred: board certification in oncology or pharmacotherapy
Communicate
Required: Able to communicate with Pharmacy Department personnel to delegate duties, and inform and
train about policies and procedures.
Able to communicate with physicians and other allied health professionals regarding patient care issues.
Able to communicate with customer and in clinic patients to handle complaints and problems, assist with
questions, and recommend products/recommendations
Preferred: Write reports (i.e., weekly/monthly, accident/injury. Expense, security), maintain logs, complete
daily Infusion Services personnel work lists, complete requisitions, and complete new hire paperwork.
Ability to problem solve and to present suggestions and solution in a clear and concise manner.
Special Skills
Required: Operate computer terminal for infusion preparations.
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole number and decimals to calculate infusion preparation dosages.
Working knowledge of healthcare/clinical operations.
Knowledgeable in the area of Budget Preparation.
Preferred: Basic Cardiac Life Support.
Other
Required: Stress Tolerance – to accurately prepare infusion medications within the required amount of time
Professional appearance.
Preferred: Excellent people management skills.
